Thanks for dropping by. I’m Simon Thompson — also known as Sparks — a graphic designer with over 25 years of experience and a lifelong passion for the arts and visual storytelling, first developed during my BA (Hons) Illustration at Brighton University.

I specialise in brand-focused design across both print and digital platforms, from visual identity and brand development to UI/UX design. With deep knowledge of printing techniques and processes, I create design work that’s ready for flawless production.

My expertise spans branding, typography, layout, illustration, storyboarding, key art creation, and production artwork, as well as image manipulation, film editing, and animation. I combine creativity with a proactive, problem-solving approach — always with a keen eye for aesthetics and colour.

I’m highly organised and thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines. From budget and timeline management to commissioning services and obtaining print quotes, I bring methodical precision to every stage of a project.

Collaboration is central to my process. I value feedback, enjoy working closely with stakeholders, and foster positive team dynamics to deliver meaningful, effective design.

Based near Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, I work from a fully equipped studio and am proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), with additional skills in After Effects and Microsoft Office. I stay engaged with design trends and actively explore AI as part of my creative toolkit.
